Thanks for a Successful 2021 Cougar Literacy Run!!

Mission statement:
The Cougar Literacy Run’s mission
is to encourage students to read every day, get excited exploring new books,
and to feel successful when they accomplish their reading goals. Through
community partnerships we are able to provide literacy resources for the 1600
Pre-K-5 students of Manassas Park, while promoting health and wellness.
BELL Aims to Innovate!
One of the strongest assets of Manassas Park is the charm of a small-town feel in the busy, fast-paced environment of Northern Virginia. Besides the success of the schools, families and businesses are moving to Manassas Park to embrace that sense of community. At BELL, our goal is to work with our partners to provide increased support for the students of Manassas Park and to strengthen our community from within—beginning with our students.
to cultivate and inspire our diverse school community to achieve academic excellence and
make positive connections to the global society.
We embody the philosophy that all students can realize their ultimate potential through the support of strong relationships and educational opportunities.
We put money into the hands of teachers to immediately impact innovating teaching and learning practices each and every year!
We support STEM in all schools and award student scholarships for a variety of higher education needs.
We give you the opportunity to work directly with our teachers and students because relationships matter.
We welcome your partnership and support because our partners are an instrumental part of Manassas Park students' opportunities and successes.
Signature Events
Our signature events are heralded in the community for their unique approach in student, faculty, and community engagement. When we say "relationships matter", we mean it. No event is complete without our entire community!
Lunch with the Superintendent
Join MPCS Superintendent Dr. Melissa Saunders for the current year's State of the Schools address and enjoy entertainment and food.
A Round for Education
The final golf outing of the year brings you to Old Hickory Golf Club. The premiere upscale course in the D.C. area hosts our annual tournament, and contests, giveaways, and a silent auction makes the day that much sweeter!
Cougar Literacy Run & Community Expo
Hundreds of families and businesses join us each year at the biggest event in Manassas Park. The specific goal is to raise funds to support literacy efforts at MPCS. Sign up for this year's race HERE!
